Fun Friday Meets Water Polo

Coaches and players from the Naval Academy Aquatics Club Water Polo team will be visiting our 9:00 and 10:00 practices. They’ll be bringing their equipment, teaching some skills, and leading a water polo game. Their last visit to us, in 2019, was a lot of fun and very popular with our swimmers. They offer programs for ages 9 and up, so we will be tweaking the practice schedule as follows:

Rock N Roll Relays

Note: This event is optional, and since it doubles as a charity fundraiser, participants pay fees of $5 per event to participate. The Crofton Country Club Crocodiles host this annual event, which is open to Crofton and Gambrills-area swim teams. Participation is not required, but it is a lot of fun, especially for kids who enjoy swimming relays. All proceeds from this meet will go directly to the Courtney Quinn Fund at John's Hopkins Children's Hospital. Courtney was a Crocs swimmer who lost her battle with brain cancer in 2012. The fund benefits the hospital's Department of Child Life, which helps to enhance the emotional and social well-being of adolescent patients before, during, and after their hospital stays. Food, beverages, and meet t-shirts will be available for purchase. This is an all-relay event, and includes events you'll never see in a regular swim meet. There’s a relay for everyone – come join the fun! The coaches will determine relay assignments based on number of participating swimmers from each age group. |
