Divisionals update

A few details leading into the big day:

Fun Friday

Divisionals shirts are in, and we'll have them for you tomorrow at all three practices if you want to pick them up ahead of the meet. If you have not yet paid, we're accepting the usual methods -- cash, check to CVST, or PayPal to [email protected].

We have a large supply of packaged salty and sweet snacks which we will be serving to the swimmers tomorrow. There are a few signup slots for drinks, fruit, and fresh baked goods. Other than that, we have plenty of food.

Saturday morning

A total of 294 swimmers representing all six teams in our division are competing in Saturday's meet. We will need everyone's cooperation for this meet to run well. If you arrive early on Saturday morning, please be prepared to pitch in.

The layout of the deck will be a little different. We will be sharing the area inside the fence with two other teams; the other three teams will be assigned to the areas immediately outside the gates. A copy of the map we sent to the visiting teams is attached. Please take a look and note the location of our team area. It is smaller than the area we occupy at a typical home meet. Canopies are welcome, as always, but be prepared to share.

Also note that the first row of the parking lot, except for the handicapped spots, will be part of the team seating areas. Do not park in those spots. More swimmers also equals more cars, so walking or carpooling if possible is encouraged.

Most of the key volunteer slots are filled, but we could use a few more hands at the Dolphin Diner. They will be serving all of the usual favorites, but to a larger crowd. You get to be around good food, good people, and shade. Taking breaks to watch your swimmer's events is encouraged.

In addition to your cowbells, signs, and voices, bring cash for Diner goodies and for our 50-50 raffle. We're hoping to make it a profitable day for the team and one lucky swim parent.

Go Dolphins!
